Reconnect's 25th Anniversary

This year Reconnect is celebrating its twenty fifth anniversary. Reconnect has much to celebrate. For twenty-five years, we have proudly assisted those with long-standing mental health problems to reach their goals and improve their quality of life. The range of programs and services that we provide has grown, reflecting the esteem in which our organization is held.

Through this year, there are many events planned to mark this achievement. We hope clients, staff, board members, family members and members of the community will join in our celebrations.

The festivities include,

• 25th Anniversary Launch February 17 view photos from the event!
• Creative Minds Showcase and Open House during Mental Health Week
• 25th Anniversary Client Picnic
• 25th Anniversary Celebration November 4

In celebration of this milestone, we are embarking on a new project to fill a gap in service delivery in Toronto's west end.

We plan to establish an employment and social support centre for individuals working to address mental health and related challenges. The centre will be the new home of our Reconnect to Work employment program.

The centre will,

• help support and link clients to employment
• provide opportunities for social support, skills development, and consumer leadership.
• be an inclusive environment which promotes optimism, relationship building and a sense of belonging.

With the support of you and others in our community, we will be able to assist many to realize their employment goals and eliminate their social isolation.
