Client Council

The Client Council holds an important position at Reconnect. Composed of active
Reconnect clients, the Council provides valuable input and direction to the Board of
Directors, the staff and the clients. Client Council members meet monthly and
meetings are open to all clients.

What does the Client Council do?

The Client Council performs many important functions. These include:

  • Acting as a bridge among the Executive Director, Board of Directors
    and the clients
  • Providing on-going input about client activities and programming,
    to the Executive Director and the Board
  • Working in partnership with the staff to develop, deliver and evaluate
    educational sessions
  • Raising funds and sponsoring client events with money raised
  • Surveying clients around present and future needs and making recommendations
  • Coordinating the production of the quarterly client newsletter
  • Participating in agency-wide strategic planning
  • Advocating for a client voice at all levels of the organization
  • Representing Reconnect clients at community forums and events
