What is Supportive Housing
Etobicoke York (SHEY)?

Supportive Housing Etobicoke York offers
permanent housing and housing support
through a partnership among Reconnect,
the Trillium Health Centre and Supportive
Housing in Peel (SHIP). Units are accessed
by SHIP and housing support (case
management) is offered by Reconnect and
Trillium Health Centre.

Who can benefit?

Women and men, 16 and over, who have a
serious mental illness and are homeless or
at imminent risk of homelessness are
eligible for this program.

What are the major benefits?

The benefits are substantial and include:

• Permanent housing through a rent
  supplement program
• Housing support (case management)
  to assist maintaining housing
• Assistance addressing recovery goals
• Assistance accessing community
  resources and services
