The Social Resource Centre is a program
offered through a partnership between
Reconnect and the
Canadian Mental Health Association –
Toronto Branch
The Social Resource Centre offers daily
programming which provides opportunities for
social and peer support as well as leadership
and skill development.

Who can benefit?

Women and men, 16 and over, who have a
serious mental illness and are clients of
Reconnect or CMHA are eligible for
this program.

What are the major benefits?

The benefits are substantial and include:

• Peer support
• Opportunities to socialize
• Leadership opportunities
• Volunteer and employment
  opportunities
• Skill development e.g.,
  computer training,
  assertiveness training
• A focus on recovery
