Community Shared Services

Built for the community, BY the community

Community health organizations have unique needs when it comes to purchasing goods and services. Community Shared Services (Shared Services) supports community health services providers with small, medium or large purchases in line with the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive. The BPS outlines best practices for publicly funded organizations to follow to ensure the procurement process is transparent and fair. Shared Services provides assistance and guidance in navigating the principles and standards contained within the BPS.

We assist community health service providers with the end-to-end procurement process. We do not participate in the evaluation process but can provide templates and guidance that will prepare your internal evaluation team for the task. We save your team time by offering specialized procurement knowledge and assistance for which you may not have capacity.

When to Contact Shared Services

  • Making a purchase that requires multiple quotes? We will provide timely quotes (up to three) to you.
  • Looking to purchase a large-scale solution and not sure how to go about it? We will help you determine whether you need to develop a Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP) document.
  • Know what you need but are not sure where to start? We will provide templates that you can use to build out your request.
  • Require guidance with completing documents like an RFI, RFQ, or RFP and to develop timelines? We can assist by providing guidance with requirements gathering.
  • Ready to post your request to applicable government e-tender sites? We will post for you.
  • Heard about or attended a Shared Services sponsored education seminar facilitated by an industry subject matter expert and are wondering when the next one will be? We are happy to share information with you about our next learning opportunity.
