Attendance Management
Course Outline
Attendance Management is one of the most challenging issues an employer faces. From administering an attendance management program, dealing with different types of absenteeism, to the termination of employees, employers must balance the objectives of their attendance management programs with their legal duty to accommodate.
In this session we start by taking participants back to the basic principles of attendance management and what to look out for. We then move on to the legal framework which are the guiding statutes and case law that tell us how we can address attendance management in the workplace. Next, we outline the various types of absenteeism and how each are treated differently along with accommodation and termination. Finally, we move to the practice piece – how do we enforce attendance management policies?
